Addis Ababa, September 10, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Demitu Hambisa conferred with Ms. Tanja Fajon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
The two sides discussed cooperation to deepen the long-existing bilateral relationship between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Slovenia in political, economic, and social affairs.
During the discussion, Ambassador Demitu Hambisa briefed the Minister on the current political and economic situation in Ethiopia and the efforts of the Government towards peace and development in the country.
The Ambassador explained the efforts and the commitment of the Government of Ethiopia towards the realization of peace in the country.
The ambassador further mentioned that while the government expressed readiness for peaceful mechanisms to solve the problems, the TPLF chose war and attacked the neighboring regions, causing the destruction of infrastructure, robbing humanitarian aid and recruiting children for military purposes.
The Ambassador reiterated the commitment of the Government of Ethiopia towards the peaceful resolution of conflicts.
The Minister, for her part, mentioned the good relationship between the countries and stressed the need for cooperation to deepen the existing bilateral relationship.
The minister also stated that Ethiopia would tackle current problems and expressed her country’s support for the efforts of the government towards peace.
